Products I'm Loving- Summer!
Updated: Apr 21, 2020
I'm such a sucker for skin, body and hair products. I love trying new products and seeing how my body responds, especially oils. I gathered all of my "staple" products I'm loving right now and decided to share them in a post. When I'm traveling, I definitely don't bring all my products and narrow it down to the very minimum. When I'm traveling I love having a short morning and night routine, so I can spend more time enjoying the place I'm in. Down below I'll note which ones are a necessity when traveling, as well as a whole morning and night routine post when I have time to indulge in self-care and multiple products :)
If you don't have time to read through this post, I have included the link to all of the products, so you can go check them out if you're interested!
I definitely have the most products when it comes to skincare. I didn't include it in this post, but I'm pretty sure I own the entire Tula Skincare line. I'm obsessed with Tula, but there are only 3-4 products of theirs I use on a daily basis. You should check them out, because I highly recommend all their products, they are amazing especially for sensitive skin.
My first product is the Up & Up Oil Free Acne Wash with salicylic acid. I've been using this product for years- its so simple for my skin and leaves it feeling clean and fresh but not stripped of any natural oils. For me, the simpler the better! You can find this at your local target or CVS.
Usually 2-3x a week at night I use Retinol-X Anti-Aging Cleanser. Although the anti-aging benefits can't hurt, I love this product for its Retinol and Vitamin E benefits. It keeps my skin looking it's best when I know my skin might break out or need an extra boost. This can be found at your local TJ Maxx or Target.
About 3x week I use Clarity's Brighten It 10% Lactic Acid Solution. My esthetician recommended this product for some sun spots I still have on my skin and reducing the redness of those. Their products are all amazing, as I've had multiple used on my skin during my monthly facials- check them out here
As far as Tula Skincare products go, I'm obsessed with their Hydrating Day and Night Cream, the Kefir Moisture Repair Pressed Serum, and the Glow & Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm. The cream and serum are amazing for dry skin and never feel cakey on the skin. Both are super light and don't lead to clogged pores. The eye balm is a life-saver for my early mornings when I wake up for work at 3:30am. Seriously. I look like I got 8 hours of sleep after applying that bad boy.
Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask is a great under-eye mask when I have more time in the morning to wake up my eyes. Of course sometimes coffee does the trick, but for mornings I feel extra sluggish or my eyes just don't seem to want to wake-up, this does the trick.
I recently discovered Owl Venice- and before you do anything else- check out their bone broth online! Not only delicious, it has helped my digestion in so many positive ways. But as far as their other products go, I'm loving their Sun Potion face serum. I love putting it on before going out in the sun (obviously wearing other sunscreen as well). But it's super light and natural for the face.
For my body, I'm loving all natural rose oil, which I found at a local TJ Maxx, Wildroots Blooming Lavender Bath and Body Oil, Trader Joe's Peppermint Toothpaste, and Bliss Kiss Hydrating Nail Oil for stubborn cuticles. Oils are so soothing for the body and perfect for calming my body down before bed. Also rose oil has been a life saver for mosquito bites and sunburns.
When I was in Wisconsin back in April, I discovered Nourish and ended up purchasing their "Up North" Room Spray and Eyelash and Brow Serum. It is now a nightly routine of mine to spray "Up North" to bring some calming vibes and give my room an amazing lake, sunshine and cabin smell. Not the musky up north and cabin smell you might be thinking of- it's fresh and crisp. The eyelash serum has show amazing benefits in growing my eyelashes and keeping them strong, so even when I remove my mascara my eyelashes stay in tact!
Lastly, I am a die hard fan of Living Proof hair products. I'm mostly obsessed with their Restore Perfecting Spay, which is perfect for hair like mine that always seems to be tangled. It was a life saver when I had long hair, but since cutting it short, I only need it a few times a week for when I go days without washing it. I have since strayed away from dry shampoo and don't seem to use it on a daily basis, but for a night out when I want to look fresh, I'll use their Dry Shampoo.
